OUR MISSION
Our mission is to BE DISCIPLES AND MAKE DISCIPLES, as per the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20. Our focus on the mission leads us to focus on realizing Vision 21--to be a dynamic, diverse, difference-making 21st century church. To accomplish our mission, we make sure every member and ministry is all-purpose (Worship, Discipleship, Fellowship, Stewardship, and Witness-ship). Every year, we have been blessed to accomplish the mission because we are a faithful and friendly contemporary Baptist church that seeks to add to Christ's church and make a difference in the world.

Baptist Temple Church is a growing, multi-generational, active congregation, established in 1921, with two Sunday worship experiences at 8A & 10:45A. Our worship lively and joyful because of the presence of the anointing of the Holy spirit and because gifts of members . Our pastor is the Rev. Dr. Rodney Adam Lyde, an dynamic teacher and preacher. OUR PASTOR
Rev. Dr. Rodney Adam Lyde has led and served Baptist Temple since August 2009. He has been happily married to Rev. Jacqueline Elisa Lyde (Rev. Jackie) since March 1997 and they have two daughters, Jelisa and Jada. Rev. Lyde is a quintessential pastor and a also cutting-edge Pastor. He is a graduate of the University of Rochester (BA), Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Duquesne University (Ph.D.). He's also a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. (Spr. 1990). He loves preaching and teaching, as is evident in his insightful sermons, his thought-provoking Bible Discovery lessons that "make your mind shout," and in the fact that he is an adjunct professor at Duquesne University.
